Overview
Below is the HTML markup for the "Warrior-Centric Healthcare Training" project, formatted according to your requirements:At D2 TEAM-Sim, I spearheaded the technical design and deployment of the Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) component for the Steptoe Group's patent-pending Warrior-Centric Healthcare Training (WCHT). This high-consequence training ecosystem was engineered for the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and other elite medical institutions to support a diverse cadre of primary care managers, clinical nurses, and command leadership.
Immersive Avatar Integration and Character Logic
To elevate the training beyond static slide-based learning, I pioneered the use of virtual simulations to represent complex patient case studies.
- COTS Strategy: I identified and integrated Media Semantics Character Builder as the core Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution to develop high-fidelity virtual avatars.
- Pseudo-Realistic Visualization: I synchronized professional voice-over audio with these virtual characters to create responsive animations, allowing medical personnel to engage with "living" case studies that mirrored real-world clinical scenarios.
Framework Architecture and Compliance
The training was built using the D2 Interactive Multimedia Instruction Framework (DIF), a proprietary development tool designed for modularity and rigorous federal standards.
- SCORM Conformance: I ensured the instruction was fully Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) conformant, allowing for seamless interoperability across various military and civilian platforms.
- Modular Interaction: I led the technical development of the course's navigation and assessment logic, ensuring the platform was both stable and user-friendly for a wide range of computer literacy levels.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Technical Execution
In my capacity as Project Manager and Instructional Designer, I acted as the primary liaison between the technical teams and the Steptoe Group.
- Content Orchestration: I coordinated the complex recording sessions for both the avatar "voices" and the overarching course narration, ensuring a cohesive auditory experience.
- Full-Stack Contribution: Beyond high-level management, I maintained a hands-on technical role, performing Flash, JavaScript, and XML coding, alongside critical content editing and maintenance.
LMS Deployment and Data Validation
I managed the end-to-end packaging and distribution of the learning content to ensure "zero-fail" performance in the field.
- Hybrid LMS Hosting: I oversaw the deployment of the training across our internal Moodle environment as well as third-party Learning Management Systems.
- Rigorous QA and UAT: I personally performed all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and SCORM validation. This was critical to verify that 100% of the assessment data and learner metrics were captured accurately, providing the client with a transparent and documented record of trainee performance.
Key Insight: Warrior-Centric Healthcare requires more than a lecture; it requires empathy and clinical precision. By architecting a SCORM-compliant, avatar-led IMI environment, I transformed a theoretical training course into a functional, pseudo-realistic simulation that prepares medical professionals for the complexities of veteran care.
