Overview
During my tenure at EVERSANA, I served as a strategic lead on an award-winning team tasked with delivering best-in-class learning solutions for Gilead. By disrupting the traditional "vendor-client" pitch dynamic, I helped secure a major partnership and executed a high-fidelity multimedia training ecosystem that redefined internal learning and development (L&D).
The Strategy: "Pitch-as-Platform" Methodology
I challenged the team to abandon the standard RFP response in favor of a "live-prototype" approach. Instead of telling the client how we would train, we executed the pitch as if the training had already begun.
- Digital Ecosystem: I led the development of a dedicated microsite containing RFP-specific data, organizational capabilities, and interactive team biographies.
- Pre-Work Integration: We initiated the engagement via a specialized email campaign designed as "pre-work," establishing an immediate learner-instructor relationship with the client's selection committee.
- Interactive Storyline Deployment: We bypassed traditional PowerPoint presentations, utilizing Articulate Storyline to deliver a classroom-style experience that included real-time knowledge checks and interactive assessment logic.
Multimedia Instructional Design and Global Deployment
Upon being awarded the business, I oversaw the production of two dozen browser-based training modules, moving the Gilead L&D team from static content to an immersive, "story-first" learning environment. To demonstrate the future-forward capability of the Gilead L&D team, I spearheaded the development of cutting-edge promotional assets that bridged the gap between physical and digital media.
- Virtual Reality (VR): I integrated VR components to showcase the team's forward-looking capabilities and to provide immersive "proof-of-concept" environments for future training initiatives.
- Award-Winning Video-in-Print: I led the production of a specialized "Video-in-Print" brochure—a physical marketing asset featuring an embedded LCD screen that played high-definition content upon opening. This "phygital" tool was instrumental in communicating the team's innovative edge to internal stakeholders.
Strategic Outcome and Recognition
This engagement was recognized for its excellence in both creative execution and technical innovation.
- Business Growth: By proving our capabilities through a live, interactive RFP, we secured a long-term, high-value partnership with Gilead.
- Standardized Excellence: The 24-module rollout established a new benchmark for L&D within the organization, providing a transparent and documented framework for future global training initiatives.
Key Insight: Innovation is most effective when it is demonstrated, not just described. By transforming a static RFP into a living training simulation, I moved the conversation from "what we can do" to "how we are already doing it," ultimately securing a partnership that pushed the boundaries of modern healthcare education.
